Yoga is not just movement, it is breath and it is being. A philosophy and existence, developed in Ancient India focusing on breath, movement and way of life.
Being pregnant encompasses all linages of yoga, from breath work, to asana/postures, to sacrificing self and strength for a beautiful existence within our bodies. Creating a spin on Birth Prep classes, this 6 week class uses functional movement through yoga and breathwork, while learning about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Week one - Anatomy of pregnancy and birth Week two - Physiology of pregnancy and birth Week three - Inductions, interventions and informed consent Week four - Signs and stages of labour; home to hospital Week five - Comfort measures Week 6 - Postpartum and parenting Bring a mat, water bottle and a journal. Investment - $300.00 Sessions are 2 hours long each week. No sessions are booked for the Winter semester. If you are interested please inquire and a session can be added. |
