Educational Scholarships

At Full Circle, we believe doula education should be accessible to all. We offer scholarships for individuals from underrepresented communities or those facing financial barriers.

You may be eligible for an educational scholarship if:

  • You are an immigrant new to Canada

  • You are Indigenous, POC or part of the LGBTQ+ community

  • You work with or are part of the community of incarcerated women

  • You work with or are part of the homeless community

  • Reside in Alberta

There is one designated full scholarship spot in the Labour Doula and Postpartum Doula in person training and one partial scholarship available in each session. Applications are evaluated based on the population they are planning to work with and the level of need in the community population and ability and dedication to becoming certified doulas.

If not immediately awarded, scholarship applications will be held for one year based on the date of receipt. The student will have to re-apply after one year to continue to be considered for the scholarship.

How does our labour doula training differ?

  • Smaller Class Sizes

Class sizes are intentionally limited to inspire more dialogue, while allowing ample "one on one" guidance as needed. The intimacy created by the group size provides more opportunity for discussion and review, while fostering a nurturing sense of support within a doula circle. Builds confidence as you navigate your way into the birth community.

  • Membership Support

CAPPA (Childbirth And Postpartum Professionals Association) truly cares about it's members and their success, while holding a vision of offering the highest level of professional membership and evidence-based training. CAPPA is the most comprehensive pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum organization available.

  • Ongoing Support

After you complete this workshop we continue to provide ongoing support and guidance, while mentoring you along your doula path. You are invited to join our private CAPPA doula Facebook page, which contains a wealth of education to help further develop your practice.
