  • Doulas and Midwives are distinct care providers, each with a specific scope of practice. A doula focuses on offering emotional, physical, and informational support to birthing parents, ensuring they feel nurtured and empowered throughout their journey. Midwives, on the other hand, are professional healthcare providers trained to deliver medical care during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. They monitor the health of both the birthing parent and baby, perform medical procedures, and act as primary care providers for low-risk pregnancies.
